“In Fall 2009 my wife and I decided to complete our backyard which included a pool, our first ever! We knew it was going to be a challenging project as we lived on a hill and had a shallow, sloping yard that we wanted to reengineer in order to maximize our pool size and extend our usable space.
We researched and talked to quite a few pool contractors; ultimately we selected Jerry Johnson of California Trademark Pools for one key reason; after meeting with him several times and talking through our project, we trusted him to do a great job on our project for a reasonable price.
Our project is now complete and we’re really pleased with how it turned out. I’d strongly recommend Jerry for a number of reasons.
First, Jerry took “hands-on” personal ownership for our project. He was here nearly every day working on the project and ensuring it was done the way he wanted. He’s got tremendous expertise and that gave us a lot of confidence as the project moved along.
Second, Jerry is really easy to work with. We changed our minds several times on design issues as we moved along and Jerry gracefully accommodated all our requests. In one case, he even lowered (an already built!) overhead gazebo that I felt was too high. No big deal. We ended up getting the back yard we wanted and he was flexible enough to help us figure it out along the way.
Third, Jerry really looked out for us throughout the project. He tactfully suggested alternatives if we were thinking about something that wasn’t going to quite look right or make sense, he helped us figure out ways to manage our costs, he honored his original pricing quote even when some extra engineering and structural expenses were necessary. In a nutshell, he was a real partner with us.
Jerry and his team did a great job for us and we’re really happy with our new back yard and pool.”
